Organic Turf Dethatcher - BioTreat
TD10 is an innovative organic
turf dethatcher. Its eco-friendly formulation has
been developed to accelerate natural turf thatch decomposition
on lawns, gardens, sports fields and golf courses, and
to help reduce the frequency of mechanical treatments
required.
Thatch creates a number of problems in heavily cultivated
turf. When turf grass must be kept both closely mowed
and heavily fertilised, thatch rapidly accumulates.
The thatch layer, formed by clippings and dead plant
material on the soil surface, is an ideal environment
for pathogens and pests such as fungi and insects. Additionally,
thatch tends to repel water, leading to hydrophobic
soil conditions, which in turn adds stress and leads
to additional maintenance requirements.
BioTreat TD10, when used in combination with verticutting,
aeration, top-dressing and dethatching program accelerates
natural thatch decomposition to help reduce the frequency
of mechanical treatments. This combination program helps
improve soil and turf conditions, and can reduce the
long-term need for pesticide applications.
BioTreat TD10 contains an advanced formulation of naturally
occurring microbes that "feed" on dead plant
tissue. Like any other population, they multiply when
there is abundant food. By adding the concentrated microbes
in BioTreat TD10, you help nature "keep up"
with the rapid accumulation of dead plant material.
BioTreat TD10 comprises a proprietary blend of naturally
occurring microbes, enzymes, nutrients and growth stimulants.

Suggested Application
- For application of dry product directly to compost
area:
- For use on golf course tees, greens, fairways:
- Wettable Powder: 1.8Kg /Hectare
- For use on golf course roughs and sod areas, reduce
rates 50%.
- Dissolve product in 0.9Kg in 300litres of water
and spray over 5,000M2.
- Reapply every 14 days as needed to decrease thatch.
- Product is most effective when soil temperature
ranges from 100 to 500 C.
Storage and Disposal
- Shelf Life: dry - 2 years, liquid - 3 months.
- Keep container tightly closed.
- Store in original container.
- Store in a cool dry place and avoid direct sunlight.
- Dispose in accordance with national, state, and
local regulations.
