Pollution Control - BioTreat AQ10 is an innovative
microbial aquaculture
pollution control formulation that has been developed
specifically for the reduction of organic pollutants (BOD)
and the conversion of ammonia to nitrates in aquaculture
environments. Previously this combination has not been
available in a single formulation as the micro organisms
used, nitrosomonas and nitrobacter were unable to create
the synergistic degradation properties now achievable
using BioTreat AQ10.
BioTreat AQ10 does not use nitrosomonas or nitrobacter
strains for the denitrification and nitrification process,
it utilises a unique metabolic process based on spore-forming
soil based microbes. This process if significantly more
efficient and can tolerate greater margins of operational
variation including oxygen levels, temperature and pH.
